Counter Culture Coffee has focused on transparency and sustainability in the coffee industry since they were founded in 1995. As part of an ongoing effort to further this commitment, their annual Transparency Report provides an in-depth examination of their yearly goals, industry research, community support, and core values. To bring these values to life for their 2017 Transparency Report, I combined hand drawn illustrations, bold typography, and a non-traditional grid layout. This pairing perfectly represents Counter Culture’s core beliefs that the people behind their coffee, the precise testing that goes into their quality control, and their fearlessness to go against industry norms are three of the key ingredients that make their coffee great.
